Therapy for anxiety and panic

Anxiety is a feeling of fear, dread and uneasiness. It might cause you to sweat, feel restless and tense and have a rapid heartbeat. It can be a normal reaction to stress, e.g. you might feel anxious when faced with work-related problems, before taking a test or before making an important decision.

 

Symptoms of anxiety are e.g. uncontrollable worries and experiences such as physical or emotional abuse. It can negatively impact your personal and professional growth, relationships and take away your freedom to choose your own destiny.

 

Panic or a panic attack is when you suddenly feel so worried or frightened that you cannot think or behave calmly or reasonably. It is an intense fear that causes physical symptoms like your heart racing, fast breathing and sweating. A person then often feels out of control of themselves. Some people who experience panic attacks develop panic disorder.
