Trauma Therapy

Trauma therapy, also known as trauma-informed therapy, is centred around helping you cope with the emotional response caused by traumatic events or a series of traumatic events.

 

The goal is to reduce, and ideally eliminate, traumatization by addressing those emotional responses activated by traumatic incidents like accidents, violence, abuse, or significant life changes.

 

Trauma can also be experienced due to childhood neglect. Through this process you can find healing and develop effective coping mechanisms.
